The good:A nice venue, modern but with a traditional feel. Wood beams and an open fire in the bar area.The bad:Unfortunately, it was a Saturday afternoon and the bar had the rugby showing on the TV. The majority of punters were basically there to watch the TV, drink lots of beer and be quite noisy. Not a very welcoming environment if you want to go in to have a quiet drink.The ugly:The bar maid was not very friendly, being quite rude when we checked if she had poured diet Coke rather than normal Coke. It felt like she would rather continue her conversation with the regulars than have to serve us. She also said f*** quite loudly a few times in those conversations which was a little unexpected!Overall:Quite happy to finish our drinks and leave. A particular unpleasant experience and I think we'll avoid the White Hart from now on.
Food good. Very occasionally staff a bit slow. Pleasant atmosphere.

I had lunch here today with a friend. The starter (duck pate) was quite nice but the main course I had which cost 18. 95 was a disgrace. Over cooked with some sort of burnt balls of which I could not decipher their content. I should have sent it all back but then you have to go through reordering etc. The coffee was nice!
I stayed a couple of nights in the Blenheim room. Staff were very helpful and accomadating.Breakfast was great, a choice of pastries, cereals, toast and cooked breakfast.A beautiful building with it's history very present both inside and out.The room had everything I could have required.The only thing I had to request was an iron, which was sourced immediately for me.It was a very clean room. Would love to stay again.Highly recommended.
