We have been here a couple of times now and both have been good.Kind of rectro cafe with good selection of food and service.Much better than Costa and better priced.
Don't go in around lunchtime if all you want is a coffee. You'll have to wait until all the food is delivered before they consider making it for you.no concept of multitasking... Just waited 20minutes. Coffee is good when it comes if you have the time to spare.
Great place on two levels, mixture of soft and high chairs, high and low tables. Wi-fi Though upstairs some "guests" hog tables for 4 and spend ages on their laptops blocking families who would like coffee, cakes etc. Apart from this inconvenience this is a first class all day coffee shop for all the family.
Very tasty food. As vegetarians we opted for the soup and vegetable stew. Both were very hot and tasted great. There is an impressive menu with lots of variety. Only downside was the lack of soup and the WiFi had reached its capacity. Prices are quite expensive too.
Bean & Brew is a really nice coffee shop with a great range of drinks and snacks. The building has character and there is plenty of seating. I have no complaints about the quality of the drinks and food, but I would say that the speed of delivery is lacking. For instance, it took 25 minutes to get two coffees and a toasted teacake brought upstairs which isn't great. It's not like it was actually busy either!My wife and I pop in regularly and what is disconcerting is that it always seems to be different people serving every time, which may be the cause of the delays as new staff find their way. The staff themselves are friendly and polite, but the speed does need to be addressed.Ultimately, though, it is still our favourite coffee shop in Wallingford, it's a great place to pop in to and the choice is excellent. I just don't want to wait 25 minutes for something simple.
