The team exceeded our expectations - they made the move extremely effortless for us. They were efficient, friendly and went over and above in the service they provided. The day of packing and the day of the move was coordinated very well. We felt in safe hands every step of the way. Overall we were very impressed by the service we received and would not doubt in recommending BarleyCorn to others.

The Barleycorn team did a brilliant job moving the contents of our 5 bedroom home within our village. They came on Sunday to pack up most of the contents, with a final pack up and delivery on the following day. The team were punctual, courteous, very helpful and completed the job quickly.
Barleycorn helped us and our next door neighbour to swap houses with each other, when we bought each other's properties this May. They were a really lovely team, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Chris the manager is a lovely guy, who listens and takes time to work out what you need. He offered us a range of quotes to choose from, which helped us to work out what we could do ourselves.Their staff were efficient, practical and kind. They were especially lovely with our 2 year old daughter, who wanted to be in everything during the move. They moved the contents of two houses, (including taking down and replacing a fence panel to move things through our back gardens!) in just a couple of hours. The even moved the fridge with its contents and nothing smashed! I hadn't expected them to also position our furniture for us, and to be so kind as to ask us if everything was where we wanted it to be and move it if it wasn't. I've given them four stars simply because in moving our neighbour's piano, they left some dents on the wooden floor in the living room. This may have been unavoidable as it was really heavy. Other than that I can't fault them. They even returned a few days later to pick up unwanted boxes to be reused, so that we didn't have to throw them away.I would (and have) recommend Barleycorn very highly. They feel like a very old fashioned company in all the right ways, and have the efficiency and can-do attitude of a modern team. When we move again, they will be the only people we call for a quote.
